What to Use to Adhere Ribbon
with Michelle Hartjes

One of our favourite embellishments is ribbon! To be sure that your ribbon looks great and stays put on your projects, be sure that you use the appropriate adhesive.

What we recommend:
There are three types of adhesive we would recommend using when adhering ribbon:

> Double-sided tape
> Stainless glue
> Sheets of ribbon adhesive

Why do we like it?
Double-sided tape is great for a strong, firm and flat hold, particularly when you are adhering a long flat piece of ribbon, such as  when using a piece of ribbon as a border on your page.

Stainless glue is a fabulous product. The stainless actually refers to the fact that the glue will not “stain” your ribbon, like a normal wet glue will. You simply dab little bits of the glue where you want your ribbon to stick and place your ribbon on top.  Great for adhering ribbon pieces, knots and bows.

Sheets of ribbon adhesive are fabulous when your ribbon is not in a straight line. You simply rub the back of your ribbon onto the adhesive sheet and the ribbon picks up the adhesive where it needs it.
