How to Use Rub-on Shapes with Michelle Lindenmayer
With so many beautiful rub-ons available in every shape and colour, you can turn a great page into a fabulous page in just a couple of easy steps.
What You Need: • Rub-ons • Wooden applicator • Cardstock or photo
Step 1
We are going to be placing a rub-on pattern onto the edge of our photo so you will need to select a rub-on that you would like to use.
Step 2
You will then need to cut roughly around the rub-on, keeping the backing sheet behind it.
Step 3
Then remove the backing sheet and carefully position your rub-on over the edge of your photo. An effective way to do this is to have some of your pattern on your photo and some on the cardstock.
Step 4
Take your wooden applicator and rub it back and forth over your rub-on. You should notice as you are doing this that the rub-on comes off the sheet and onto your paper. When you have completed this step, gradually and slowly pull the sheet off your page making sure that all of the rub-on has come off the sheet and onto your page. Do not remove the whole sheet until you are sure that all the rub-on has transferred to your page.
Step 5
You can then take your backing sheet and place it over your rub-on and use your applicator to rub over the rub-on to smooth it over and ensure that it is totally stuck down onto your page.
Step 6
You can repeat these steps for one or more corners of your photo.
