Magic Mesh
A self-adhesive, re-positionable decorative mesh for adding interest to your pages and projects. Can be cut, weaved, layered and embossed.

Magnetic Album
A photo album which uses adhesive to hold photographs in place, commonly used by your parents and grandparents. These are the main cause of deterioration of photos and not good for scrapbooking and preserving memories.

Masking
A technique where a shape or stencil is used to prevent a certain area from being painted or inked, thereby leaving that shape behind when the paint is dry and the mask is removed.

Matting
Cutting and placing paper in one or more layers behind a photo to accentuate it or act as a buffer.

Memorabilia
Items such as letters, postcards, buttons, brochures, ribbons or tickets that have been saved as reminders of past events.

Memory Book
Another name for a scrapbook.

Monochromatic colors
All the hues, or different shades of a single color.

Mosaic
Cutting paper or photos into small pieces and then adhering them within a border or pattern outline to reassemble the photo or new pattern.

Mounting squares
Small squares of double-sided adhesive foam used to glue elements to a page and give them a ‘raised’ effect.

Mulberry paper
Paper with long fibres from the mulberry tree, available in many colors. Also has a feathered look when it is torn.
