What are you doing this Friday night?

I am so excited!  We are going to scrap the night away tonight!  I sometimes feel a bit daggy when I am more excited about a crop on Friday night than anything else!  But when you consider what I will be doing – looking through photos, getting creative with displaying them on my pages, choosing the gorgeous embellishments and recording forever the moments, feelings, memories and love in my life – what else could be more fun?

And I get to hang out with the girls.  Now that is something special – the chatter, the laughter, the empathy, the understanding, the wine….oops, did I really say that?  Well, I have to say that I do like a glass to sip on and really relax.  But I am getting off topic here!

There is nothing quite like the joy of spending quality time, in a creative non-judging environment with like-minded women who care enough to create a legacy.  Wow – that was a bit deep – but true.

So tonight I am finishing off some pages that I worked on a while ago, but did not quite have the right “bits” to finish off.  Then I need to finish a little 6 x 6 album for my gorgeous son, Hudson (I have already completed the one for my daughter Simona) and I think I will give it to them in the morning. For no particular reason, other than the fact that I love them! 

Hmmm… is there pattern here of uncompleted projects?  Anyway…

Then I want to start my album from our recent USA trip – Disneyland first of course because it was so amazing, and then onto Las Vegas.

Now this is not a weekend-long crop which is probably what I actually need in order to actually get this all done, but I would prefer to be optimistic and prepared – and I will see how it goes!

Back from the USA!

What a wonderful and interesting thing life is! And I just so love that we can scrapbook it!

Now I am so excited at the moment because Vanessa and I have just come back from the USA - and we have got some great stuff for you. 

We attended the CHA (Craft and Hobby Association) Show - the world’s largest craft fair, in Anaheim California. There was such an abundance of fabulous people! We interviewed some amazing women (some of whom you will know and love), and all of them scrapbookers of course. The new offerings from the product manufacturers are sensational and they gave us some great insight in to their latest and greatest!

Won’t be long and we can share these great stories with you!

Happy New Year!

We hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and New Year and you are all fired up to make it great in 08 (I know we are)!

We have had so many fabulous comments about Scrapbook.TV from our friends and family who have visited our site – thank you all for your support! We are very excited as this is only the tip of the iceberg! There is so much more in store for the site but we need to remain calm and put our heads down to bring you some more great videos and reviews. In the meantime, we would love to hear any suggestions you have for the site – just tell Penny what you would like to see on Scrapbook.TV. You will see her around the site or just click here to tell Penny your thoughts. :)

The other exciting news at the moment (apart from the launch of the site) is that Scrapbook.TV will be attending the CHA Winter 2008 Trade Show in Anaheim, California this February, as well as the Scrapbook Expo in Costa Mesa in the US! We can’t wait to connect up with all of you and hear your stories! Look out for us if you happen to be there!

Welcome!

We are delighted that you have taken the opportunity to get connected to the creation station. We look forward to getting to know you better as time goes on.  We would love your feedback on what you think of our site, so please feel free to contact us.

As we launch our site, Scrapbook.TV, it is a good time to reflect over our journey to this point.

We are so excited to finally let loose this idea that we have been working on for what seems likes ages. We love scrapbooking, and we look forward to utilising this incredible, fulfilling, legacy-creating craft to empower women globally.

There are many wonderful things, personally, this project has created. 

For me, learning patience, remaining calm (despite the amazing blessings we constantly receive), and remembering to use only one space after a full-stop (instead of two spaces – keep in mind I learned to type on a typewriter). 

For Ness, I think she has learned to deal with my excitement (in a most positive way), and also that it really is okay to have big dreams to chase and to back yourself no matter how many doubts you may have. Oh and she has learned a lot about web videos! Ness has also introduced a tradition of great afternoon coffee with Oreos, to which I am now officially addicted. 

Thank you to the team around us who have given us support, encouragement and lots of learnings. Thank you to our business angels who have given us not only funding, but belief, encouragement and insight.

Thank you to our husbands. Tim (Ness’s husband) for cooking our meals and looking after us at the official Scrapbook.TV headquarters, Shaun (my hubby) for surviving with his business and the kids all the times I was busy working on Scrapbook.TV – and to both of them for their unwavering support and belief in us and in our idea. Thanks also to my beautiful children Simona and Hudson who are an absolute joy in my life.
